Assault And Robbery At Gympie

Police are appealing for information about an assault and robbery in Gympie on Wednesday, July 24.

Initial investigations indicate around 10pm, a small group of people walked out of a venue on Nash Street, when another small group of people followed them outside and a physical altercation ensued.

A 48-year-old man received facial injuries and had a sum of money stolen as a result of the altercation.

Police believe two men and one woman may have been involved but left the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police, including anyone with dashcam footage of the area around that time.
