Police are investigating an assault that occurred in Mudgeeraba yesterday, May 9.
Initial investigations indicate a man was driving a vehicle along Springsure Drive around 4.30pm.
The driver had exited the vehicle to speak with a group of three juveniles before a physical altercation ensued.
The group left the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
The man in his 60s was taken to Pindara Hospital with serious injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
