Police have charged a woman in relation to an alleged serious assault in Torquay last night, January 28.
It will be alleged at approximately 5.11pm, an altercation occurred at a park on Bideford Street between two people.
A 56-year-old Torquay man sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital.
A 57-year-old Torquay woman was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
She is due to appear before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court, today.
Investigations are ongoing.
