- 28,845 Queensland Year 12 graduates woke up to their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results online today.
- 36 received the highest possible band result of 99.95.
- 25% received an ATAR of 90 or above.
The wait is over for more than 28,000 Year 12 Queensland graduates, who eagerly jumped online to check their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results today.
This year 36 of those graduates achieved the highest possible rank of 99.95 and 25 percent received a 90.00 or above.
The group studied a range of subjects from French to Specialist Mathematics, Chemistry and Psychology.
The state's schooling system aims to prepare all graduates, from a wide variety of backgrounds, for a whole range of future education and career goals.
While tertiary study is invaluable, it's not the only post-school opportunity, as some will embark on shorter certifications or enter straight into the workforce.
Minister for Education John-Paul Langbroek commended all graduates on their exceptional efforts over the past two years.
"Congratulations to all of our fantastic Year 12 students from the class of 2024 on receiving your ATAR results," Minister Langbroek said.
"All of you have worked extremely hard, with the support of your teachers, family and friends.
"I'd like to acknowledge the talented individuals who achieved an impressive score of 99.95.
"Anyone who didn't quite get the result they were looking for shouldn't be disheartened. There are many avenues you can explore, including VET or bridging course pathways."
Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) Interim Chief Executive Officer Mr Chris Veraa said QTAC is ready, willing and able to continue supporting graduates.
"Congratulations to our ATAR recipients. This result is the culmination of lots of hard work, dedication, and perseverance on your part.
"While competitive entry requirements play a significant role in tertiary courses, remember there are many pathways to tertiary study and a high ATAR is not the only way to gain entry.

Year 12 state school graduate Lachlan who achieved an ATAR rank of 99.95 described himself as having got through this year with dedication, resilience and courage.
"School was good, I made lots of friends and lots of people supported me - it has been challenging at times but worth it."
