Attempted burglaries at Fernvale and Plainland, QLD

Police are investigating the attempted burglary of ATMs at Fernvale and Plainland overnight, Queensland Police say.

Around 11.59am, two people wearing protective face masks have broken into a shopping centre bunker containing an ATM on Main Street.

The two persons involved appear to have been disturbed and were unable to gain entry to the machine and fled empty handed soon after.

Then at 12.47am, two people wearing protective masks forced their way into a shopping centre bunker on Gherke Road and attempted to gain entry to two ATMs.

The pair were disturbed and were last seen leaving the address in a blue Holden Commodore utility

The vehicle sustained damage to its front after hitting a gutter.

Both bunkers and ATMs were damaged as a result.

Investigations are continuing.
