Attempted Murder Charge, Acacia Ridge

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy with attempted murder, following a disturbance in Acacia Ridge on Friday, May 17.

Initial investigations indicate two males become involved in an altercation outside an address on Gregory Street around 2.30pm, before the 17-year-old boy allegedly produced a knife and stabbed a19-year-old man multiple times.

Emergency crews arrived and the 19-year-old man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 17-year-old Acacia Ridge boy has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, threatening violence, and possession of a knife in a public space.

He is expected to appear before the Brisbane Childrens Court on May 18.
