A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged shooting incident in Maryborough on January 13.
Police and emergency services were called to a Fort Street address around 9pm to reports a 43-year-old Maryborough man had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
It will be alleged that following a disagreement, the 45-year-old Maryborough man has produced and discharged a firearm at the 43-year-old man before fleeing the scene on an e-scooter.
The 43-year-old was transported to hospital with a life-threatening injury to the head.
On Saturday, January 18, the 45-year-old man was located riding an electric scooter on Churchill Street, where he was taken into custody and transported to Maryborough Watchhouse.
He has been charged with one count of attempted murder and is expected to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on Monday, January 20.
It will be further alleged, following the man's arrest, a search warrant was executed at a business on Adelaide Street where a 3D printed gun, ammunition, and a quantity of methamphetamines was located.
A 52-year-old Maryborough man was arrested at the Adelaide Street address and has been charged with multiple offences including one count each of unlawful possession of weapons, stealing, obstructing police and receiving tainted property firearm/ammunition, as well as two counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court Monday, January 20.
Investigations are ongoing.
