Attempted Murder Charge in O'Sullivan Beach Case

A man has been arrested following an investigation into an incident at O'Sullivan Beach.

Just before 5.30pm on Friday 14 December, police and emergency services were called to a property at Morrow Road, after reports of a disturbance.

It is believed the disturbance started after a man was seen driving a black Honda sedan around the exterior of a shed on the property and pouring accelerant.

Police will allege the driver of the vehicle drove the car at the homeowner trapping him between the vehicle and a trailer.

The suspect exited his vehicle and ran away and was last seen running south on Morrow Road.

Paramedics treated the man at the scene before transferring him to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Following an investigation, on Saturday 14 December, Southern District Detectives arrested a 31-year-old man from Christie Downs and charged him with attempted murder, endanger life and arson. He was refused police bail and will appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 16 December.
