A man will face court today after a domestic-related shooting in Sydney's south-west yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a home in Gurley Place at Bonnyrigg just after 5.30pm (Monday 1 July 2019), after reports of a shooting.
Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and found a 32-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition.
A 65-year-old man was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station. He has been charged with shoot with intent to murder, attempted murder and a number of firearm and domestic-violence related offences.
He was refused bail prior to his appearance at Liverpool Local Court (Tuesday 2 July 2019).
