Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following an incident in Lammermoor, south of Yeppoon, early this morning.
Just after 1:00am police responded to reports of an alleged assault at a home on Waterview Drive.
On arrival officers located a 25-year-old man, who was subsequently transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition with multiple stabwounds.
A man, who is known to the 25-year-old man, was taken into custody at the scene.
Police have charged a 20-year-old Lammermoor man with attempted murder.
He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 11.
