Attempted Murder Charges, Greenslopes

Police have charged a 46-year-old woman with one count of arson and three counts of attempted murder (domestic violence offence) following a house fire in Greenslopes last month.

It will be alleged the woman deliberately lit a fire at the property around 4.15am on July 12 while a 44-year-old man, 12-year-old and 9-year-old were asleep inside.

They were able to exit the building and were not physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police attended and took a woman into custody at the scene. She was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Following investigations, police have charged the woman with three counts of attempted murder (DV offence) and one count of arson (DV offence).

She has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 10.
