Attempted murder investigation at Spring Hill

Three people have been taken into custody in relation to the alleged attempted murder of a man at Spring Hill on December 5.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.10am at a Turbot Street unit complex, a 37-year-old Southbrook man has fallen from a sixth-floor balcony approximately 6 metres onto the balcony of a unit one level below.

He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.

Investigations led police to locate a 35-year-old man at Mermaid Waters on Thursday, December 15.

He has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter dwelling with intent by break, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.

He appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday (December 16), and was remanded in custody with the matter expected to next be heard on February 13.

Two people, a 35-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were taken into custody in New South Wales last night and are expected to appear in court for an extradition hearing.

Investigations are ongoing.
