Police have launched an investigation after a woman was intentionally struck by a car near Wagga Wagga, NSW Police say.
About 11.15am yesterday (Sunday 26 November 2017), police were called to a property on Cowabbie Street, Coolamon, about 40km north west of Wagga Wagga, after a 46-year-old woman was struck by a Mitsubishi Triton being driven by a 29-year-old woman.
After being struck, the older woman was pinned against the rear tray of a Toyota Hilux. The younger woman then allegedly reversed the car and struck her again.
She then reversed the vehicle and allegedly drove towards a 51-year-old man, hitting another vehicle parked at the location.
The woman then drove from the scene, and was arrested by police at a hotel in Coolamon.
She was taken to Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital for mental health assessment. She will be arrested upon her release.
The 46-year-old woman was taken to Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital with hip injuries. She is in a stable condition.
The 51-year-old man was uninjured.
A crime scene was established at the property, and the Triton was seized for forensic examination.
The parties are known to each other.
