Police are investigating an attempted robbery and wounding in Camp Hill this morning, March 15.
Initial investigations indicate around 6am, a 48-year-old man was in his vehicle on Audrey Street when he was approached by two unknown males armed with a machete.
They threatened the man, demanding his car keys.
The man refused and he was assaulted by the two males, sustaining lacerations to his arm and chest.
The man's vehicle was not stolen.
The males fled the scene in a stolen Kia Sorrento, which was located abandoned nearby.
The Kia Sorrento had been stolen from a Kangaroo Point address overnight.
The man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV is urged to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
