Mount Isa police have charged four teens, following an alleged attempted robbery in Mount Isa yesterday morning.
It will be alleaged at 5:45am a man disturbed a group of teens attempting to gain entry to his vehicle, which was parked on Camooweal Street.
Police will further allege the group assaulted the man when he tried to call police.
The group then allegedly fled the scene when the man called for assistance.
A 65-year-old man was not physically injured during the incident.
Officers took the boys into custody on the Barkly Highway in Mount Isa yesterday afternoon.
A 14-year-old Townview boy has been charged with nine counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence and one count each of attempted robbery, burglary and wilful damage.
A 17-year-old Sunset boy has been charged with seven counts of enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and one count each of burglary and attempted robbery.
A 14-year-old Pioneer boy has been charged with seven counts of enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence and one count of burglary.
A 15-year-old Happy Valley boy has been charged with one count each of possession of dangerous drug, burglary, attempted enter premises and stealing.
