Police have charged three people following an alleged stealing attempt at Coomera yesterday, September 27.
It will be alleged at approximately 4.50pm, a vehicle with three occupants attended a shopping centre along Foxwell Road.
Two men, aged 23 and 26, exited the vehicle and entered the complex, where they allegedly struck a glass cabinet at a jewellery store with a tyre iron, attempting to break the glass.
The duo allegedly fled the scene on foot without any items, before re-entering the waiting vehicle.
The vehicle was subsequently intercepted by police on Creek Street a short time later, and the trio was taken into custody.
A 24-year-old Mount Warrant Park man, who was allegedly driving the vehicle, was charged with driving without a licence, evasion offence in company, wilful damage and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
A 23-year-old Coomera man and a 26-year-old Upper Coomera man were both charged with one count each of wilful damage and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
All were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court today, September 28.
