Attempted Unlawfully To Kill - Northbridge

Perth Detectives have charged a 19-year-old man in relation to an incident that occurred in Northbridge on Tuesday 25 February 2025.

It will be alleged about 12.10am, the accused approached a male victim - aged in his 40's - who was asleep on a ramp outside of a building on Lake Street.

Subsequently, it will be alleged the accused assaulted the victim with a steak knife, before he fled the area.

Both parties were unknown to each other.

The victim sustained stab wounds to his neck and head. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital via St. John WA for medical treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

About 4.50am, police located and arrested the accused at Murdoch Train Station.

A 19-year-old man from Wellard has been charged with one count of 'Attempted Unlawfully to Kill'.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday 26 February 2025.
