Auburn Shooting: Police Launch Investigation

Two crime scenes have been established after a public place shooting in south west Sydney.

Shortly after 3pm today (Wednesday 23 October 2024), officers from Auburn Police Area Command responded to reports of a parked vehicle and a house being shot at in Chisholm Road, Auburn.

Approximately 15 minutes later officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended Atkin Street, Carramar, following reports of a vehicle on fire.

The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW.

Officers have been informed that two men were seen to be running from the vicinity in Atkin Street.

Local police – with the assistance of the Dog Squad and PolAir – are conducting a canvas of the area.

Both incidents are believed to be linked and crime scenes have been established at the locations that will be examined by specialist officers.

There are no reports of any injuries.
