Empower your Community: Apply for Aurizon's Community Giving Fund Today

Aurizon, Australia's largest rail-based freight company, is excited to announce the opening of the first round of its Community Giving Fund for 2025.
Andrew Harding, Managing Director & CEO of Aurizon, invites all eligible community groups to apply: "We're passionate about supporting local charities that make a real difference in our communities, focusing on projects that promote Health and Wellbeing, Community Safety, Environment, and Education.
"With cash grants of up to $20,000 available, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your local community.
"Over 85% of our employees reside in regional areas, and these grants allow us to give back to the communities where we live and work.
"A great example of what this funding can do is the grant we provided to the Queensland branch of the Royal Flying Doctors (RFDS) to develop a comprehensive suite of training videos for various types of aircraft," said Andrew.
Sebastien Krantz, Acting Executive General Manager Fundraising & Philanthropy of the RFDS, thanked Aurizon for their generous support: "Thanks to everyone at Aurizon for the wonderful support of the RFDS in Queensland. Your funding will allow us to create essential training videos for the teams that work with our fleet of aircraft, supporting our ability to safely transport patients during critical air transfers. This enhanced training directly supports our mission of delivering the finest care to rural and remote communities who depend on our aeromedical services," he said.
Since 2011, the Aurizon Community Giving Fund has supported over 650 charities, empowering them to carry out meaningful local and regional projects.
"We are committed to supporting community projects that directly benefit the areas where our team members live and work," said Mr Harding. "If you are a charity or community group seeking financial support for projects in our operational regions, please visit our website for more details on how to apply for these grants.
