Fresh evidence of Australian weapons being exported to Israel has been made public, showing an Australian-made 'lethal' remote weapons system being used in Israel, earlier this year.
The R400 weapons system is made by Australian manufacturer EOS systems and is being fed into a conflict that has seen more than 50,000 people killed in Gaza in an ongoing genocide.
The State-owned Israeli Aerospace Industry (IAI) recently posted a photograph of the Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, standing in front of a cannon at a weapon testing site in southern Israel. This photo also appeared in the Israeli Government's official press release.

The Greens have been informed that this is a photo of an R400, which is a remote weapon station made in Australia that the manufacturer describes as "lightweight lethality with precise mobile engagements up to 2 km." It is used to destroy moving vehicles, people and drones.
This weapon is made by the Australian Electro Optic Systems (EOS) and its American subsidiary EOS Defense Systems USA.
In an investor presentation published in late February 2025, EOS shared the photograph from the Israeli Ministry of Defence under the title "Counter Drone Evaluation Testing with New Customer," dated January 2025. It stated "EOS supported a local prime to demonstrate counter-drone capabilities in a high-profile local demonstration" and "EOS' system performed extremely well, earning high praise from the organisers."
The Albanese Government has numerous times claimed that Australia does not provide weapons to Israel and has not for the previous five years. The Prime Minister, as recently as April 8, 2025, claimed Israel was not using Australian weapons.
During Senate Estimates questioning, Defence revealed that there were 66 military export permits active for the State of Israel in June 2024. By November 2024, 16 of these permits, the majority of which were designed for military use or inherently lethal, had ended due in part to the "very high number of civilian casualties".
Senator David Shoebridge, Greens Spokesperson for Defence, said:
"We can see with our own eyes the Israeli Minister of Defence standing for a photo-op with an Australian-made weapon in Israel in January 2025. This must be a truth-telling moment for Labor."
"Nearly 40,000 children in Gaza have had one or both of their parents killed by the Israeli military. We are watching not just a genocide, but a mass orphan event. We must pull every lever we can to stop the killing.
"How many times will the Government wriggle and squirm, avoiding the plain truth, before they take some responsibility?
"Labor's repeated false denials and gaslighting on Australian weapons in Israel is how the Albanese Government pretends it can't do anything to help end the killing. But Australia is complicit, we can do something, and it starts with ending the two-way arms trade.
"It is likely these weapons were funnelled through the US as part of AUKUS Pillar 2, which is making Australian industry into a subservient arm of the US military-industry.
"We have known throughout the genocide that Australia is feeding weapons parts to Israel through the US for the F-35 fighter jet. This new evidence shows an entire Australian weapon system being sent to the Israeli military.
"If Australia is to be a force for peace in the world, we must cut the ties to Donald Trump's military as well as US and Israeli weapons manufacturers, and that starts with ending AUKUS.
"International law is clear that trade with Israel that entrenches the occupation of Palestine and genocide in Gaza is illegal. That obviously includes a "lightweight lethality" cannon that fires 30 millimeter bullets."
