Australia Cup 2024 Round Of 32 Ready To Get Underway

The Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32 will get underway tomorrow, Tuesday, 30 July as Australia's largest annual knockout sporting competition enters its Final Rounds.

Starting in early-February with 758 clubs from all divisions of football across Australia, the Australia Cup 2024 is now down to 32 teams from both the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Member Federations from across the country.

The Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32 will take place across five match days between Tuesday, 30 July and Wednesday, 7 August.

Perth Glory FC will now play host to Melbourne City FC at Sam Kerr Football Centre on Saturday, 3 August in an all Isuzu UTE A-League Men affair, while on Wednesday, 31 July, Newcastle Jets FC will take on Rockdale Ilinden FC (Football NSW) at Rockdale Ilinden Sports Centre.

Across the Australia Cup 2024 Round of 32 there are a total of seven Member Federation and Isuzu UTE A-League Men match ups, headlined by Oakleigh Cannons FC (Football VIC) hosting reigning Australia Cup Winners, Sydney FC to open proceedings on Tuesday, 30 July. O'Connor Knights SC (Capital Football) will also be in action that evening against Australia Cup 2022 Winners, Macarthur FC at GIO Stadium, Canberra.

Western Sydney Wanderers FC will travel to the Sunshine State to meet Brisbane City FC (Football QLD) at Imperial Corp Stadium, Newmarket on Wednesday, 31 July, while Lions FC (Football QLD) will travel almost 4,000 kilometres to Western Australia to face Perth RedStar FC (Football West) at Percy Doyle Reserve, Duncraig. Blacktown City FC (Football NSW) will also have the task of hosting three-time Australia Cup Winners, Adelaide United FC at Landen Stadium, Seven Hills.

South Melbourne FC (Football VIC) will take on the travelling Wellington Phoenix FC in another tantalising Member Federation and Isuzu UTE A-League Men clash on Tuesday, 6 August, with Heidelberg United FC (Football VIC) facing the 2024 Isuzu UTE A-League Men Champions and 2023/24 AFC Cup Winners, Central Coast Mariners FC the following evening to close out the Round of 32.

  • For the Round of 16 the balls containing the names of all participating Clubs will be placed in one (1) pot. The balls will be drawn, opened, and revealed one at a time, until all balls have been drawn.
  • The Quarter Finals and Semi Finals Draw will be conducted immediately following the Round of 16 Draw. Balls will contain a match number instead of participating Club names. The balls will be drawn, opened and revealed one at a time, until all balls have been drawn.
  • This format creates a tournament bracket for the Quarter Finals and Semi Finals, with the winners of the Round of 16 knowing who they are likely to face in the next stage of the competition.
