Swan Hill Rural City Council is excited to announce a call for Expressions of Interest for Australia Day activities and events in 2025.
Council's Director Corporate Services, Bhan Pratap said Community Groups and Associations are invited to submit their proposals for potential events.
"Community events play a crucial role in bringing people together and fostering a sense of unity.
"This initiative builds on extensive community consultation, which revealed a strong interest in having community groups lead additional Australia Day celebrations in Swan Hill.
"Council is eager to support activities that reflect our community's interests, and we are prepared to offer financial support for an activity that has broad community appeal. We particularly encourage proposals for engaging events such as community breakfasts, morning teas, or concerts.
Expressions of interest will be accepted until October 11, 2024.
