The public is invited to throw on its thongs and head on down to the Salisbury Community Hub for a morning of free celebrations to mark Australia Day on January 26.
From 8am, a hot breakfast will be available at no cost, as well as a healthy option of fruit and yoghurt.
To keep you entertained, there will be live music from The Crosstown Ramblers plus a range of other exciting activities including:
- Meet and greet opportunities with footy legends Darren Jarman and Alipate Carlile
- Novelty games including a vegemite eating competition and thong throwing competition
- Mini golf
- Animal farm
- Balloon artists
- Badge making
- Military and defence vehicle display
The official proceedings will begin at 8am with a Flag Raising Ceremony followed by Australia Day Awards at 8.30am and a Citizenship Ceremony taking place inside the Community Hub at 10am.
