Locals are encouraged to grab their picnic chairs and join family, friends and the community for an Australia Day celebration at Koshigaya Park on Sunday 26 January.

From 4pm to 9pm, the free community event will feature live stage performances, food vendors, showbags, kids' activity stations, free carnival rides and a special fireworks display at 9pm.

"Australia Day is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate the diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences of all who call Australia home," said Mayor Darcy Lound.

"We've got a fantastic family-friendly event planned this year, so I encourage everyone to throw out the picnic blanket and join us for another great celebration at Koshigaya Park," said Cr Lound.

A full line-up of stage performers is planned for the day, with Live Baby Live – The INXS Tribute Show delivering an unmissable finale performance.

Kids' activity stations will be available throughout the event, including giant inflatables, Australian reptile show, silent disco, facepainting, science workshop and carnival rides.

Families can also enjoy an Australian farmyard area with sheep-shearing, working dog and whip-cracking demonstrations alongside a car and bike show, between 4pm and 7pm.

Local emergency services will join the celebration, including a Fire & Rescue NSW fire truck display and NSW SES stall.

Australia Day Award recipients, including the 2025 Citizen of the Year, will be announced at a civic ceremony held at Greg Percival Community Centre from 9am to 10am, followed by a citizenship ceremony from 11am to 12pm.
