Swan Hill Rural City Council invites everyone to join a variety of exciting events across the municipality over two days to celebrate Australia Day 2025.
Council's Mayor, Cr Stuart King said the festivities would begin on Saturday, 25 January with Citizenship Ceremonies and Australia Day Award Ceremonies in Robinvale and Swan Hill.
"Events will honour our newest citizens and recognise the outstanding contributions of our Australia Day Award winners.
"These ceremonies are a wonderful opportunity to welcome our new citizens and celebrate the incredible achievements of our community members. I am always inspired by the stories of our award recipients," Cr King said.
Cr King said on Sunday, 26 January, the much-loved Australia Day Breakfast returns to Riverside Park from 7am to 10am.
"This event will be hosted by The Rotary Club Swan Hill in collaboration with Sunrise Rotary and Swan Hill Lions Club with the morning featuring a complimentary breakfast and live performances by local artists.
"The Australia Day Breakfast is a highlight for our community and a chance to come together to enjoy a delicious meal, and be entertained by our talented local artists," Cr King said.
Cr King said the evening, Shared Connections Day would then take place from 6pm to 9pm at Riverside Park, in Swan Hill.
"This event offers an evening of cultural revival and community bonding, warmly welcoming everyone to participate and celebrate Swan Hill's diversity.
"Shared Connections Day showcases our rich cultural tapestry and is a fantastic way to end the weekend and strengthen our community bonds," he added.
Cr King said additional events would also be held in Beverford, Lake Boga, Nyah/Nyah West, Boundary Bend, Robinvale, Manangatang, Piangil, Wemen, and Woorinen.
"These events spread throughout our municipality make Australia Day a truly community-wide celebration. I encourage everyone to take part in the festivities and enjoy the fabulous weekend," said Cr King.
