Australia Post Staff Approve New Enterprise Agreement

Australia Post

Australia Post today announced it has secured a new Enterprise Agreement (EA2024) with team members. The agreement recognises team members' important contribution as the organisation continues to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of the customers and communities it serves.

Delivering a guaranteed 12.5% compounding pay increase for 30,000 eligible team members over the next three years (4% each year), the agreement retains terms and conditions of employment that are important for our people.

Following extensive consultation with team members and unions, the vast majority (89%) of those who voted were in favour of the agreement.

Australia Post Executive General Manager People and Culture Sue Davies said the top of the market pay increase delivers well-deserved real wage growth in acknowledgement of how team members continue to deliver for customers and the community every day.

"We were focused on reaching an agreement that offers our people certainty and security while we work to implement reforms to our delivery and retail networks and build a more financially sustainable business.

"This investment in our people recognises the crucial role our team members play in putting these changes in place, so we can keep providing meaningful jobs and ensure Australia Post continues to be an employer of choice and a great place to work," Ms Davies concluded.

The EA2024 was formally endorsed by the Communication, Electrical and Plumbing Union (CEPU) Communications Division (CWU), which represents the majority of Australia Post team members covered by the Enterprise Agreement. Australia Post will be working with the CWU over the life of the agreement on developing our employee value proposition to support our people and customer needs.

EA2024 will now be lodged with the Fair Work Commission for approval.
