On 8 April 2025, Australian Red Cross opened its new Melbourne office at 637 Flinders Street, Docklands, marking an exciting new chapter in its mission to support people before, during, and after disasters and crises.
Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria and Patron, Australian Red Cross in Victoria, formally opened the new office, recognising the organisation's continued commitment to the community.
"As Patron of Australian Red Cross Victoria, it was a pleasure to officially open the new Victorian office – marking a fresh chapter in this organisation's longstanding mission to support those in need," said Her Excellency.
Following the sale of its previous Melbourne office in 2023, Australian Red Cross undertook a comprehensive search to find a space that better aligns with its vision for the future. The move to Docklands places the organisation in a central and accessible location, strengthening its connection to the community.
"This relocation represents an important step forward for Australian Red Cross. Our new office is designed to be more accessible, sustainable, and fit for purpose, ensuring we can continue to serve the community effectively," said Australian Red Cross Victoria State Director, Nichola Krey.
The new office will enhance the organisation's ability to support people in times of need while also reflecting its commitment to adaptability and long-term resilience.
Australian Red Cross looks forward to welcoming staff, members, partners, and the broader community to this purpose-driven space as it continues its vital humanitarian work across Victoria and beyond.
