From 2pm this Friday 28 June right through to 5pm Sunday Australian Red Cross' popular Pop-Up Shop will be selling fashion for a cause at the iconic Sydney Town Hall.
With thousands of quality pre-loved clothing, accessories and brand-new designer clothing on offer, the Australian Red Cross Pop-Up Shop will provide shoppers with the opportunity to secure a new wardrobe while contributing to a great cause.
Australian Red Cross Head of Retail Richard Wood said the event was shaping up to be even bigger than last year.
"When you make a purchase, no matter how big or how small, you help us support the most vulnerable people in our communities, here in Australia and further afield," said Mr Wood.
Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore AO and the Hon. Jodie Harrison MP will be officially opening the doors to the Australian Red Cross Pop-Up Shop and welcoming the community in to find their new cause-driven wardrobe.
Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore AO said there's an added bonus for shoppers this weekend.
"When shoppers make a purchase at the Pop-Up Shop they will not only be supporting Australian Red Cross but be supporting the circular economy, promoting sustainability and giving clothing another life," said Mayor Moore AO.
Minister with responsibility for Volunteering Jodie Harrison said one of the most heartwarming aspects of the event is how Australian Red Cross volunteers have come together to make it happen.
"Volunteers are the backbone of our communities. It is especially clear at this Australian Red Cross event, with many coming together and dedicating their time, energy and community spirit for a good cause. Their collective efforts make events like these a success and help us reach many in need."
All funds raised by the pop-up can make a real difference in the lives of people facing hardship, disaster and crisis by supporting Australian Red Cross humanitarian programs both locally and globally.
