Cessnock City Council is delighted to welcome award-winning Australian author Penelope Janu, who will discuss her latest novel 'The Summerfield Saddler' and sign copies of her books at Cessnock Library between 4pm and 5pm on Monday 17 February, 2025.
'The Summerfield Saddler' is a heart-warming romance story that explores themes of love, connection, and community.
Set in the vibrant small town of Summerfield, it follows saddler Mackenzie Henry, whose life is turned upside down when she becomes involved in a fight to rehabilitate land ravaged by an open-cut mine – while she is collaborating with a Norwegian documentary team.
The story will resonate with readers who enjoy uplifting tales of resilience and second chances.
