Authorised worker travel registrations now live on Service NSW website

NSW Government

Authorised workers entering or leaving Local Government Areas (LGA) of concern can now register their travel plans ahead of the requirement coming into effect at 12:01am Saturday 28 August.

The updated Public Health Order requirement applies to:

  • authorised workers living in an LGA of concern who must leave their LGA for work, including travelling to another LGA of concern, and
  • anyone entering an LGA of concern for work.

Customers can apply for their Travel Registration on the Service NSW website or by calling 13 77 88. The process only takes a few minutes and eligible registrations are approved immediately.

Customers will receive a PDF confirmation of their registration which can be printed or displayed on a smart phone. The registration contains a unique QR code which can be scanned and validated by NSW Police.

Customers need to ensure they carry their registration and supporting documentation with them at all times. Supporting documentation may include a letter from your employer or delivery schedule.

Fines will apply for false declarations or failing to present a valid registration. More than 141,000 customers have applied for a Travel registration since they came into effect on 21 August. There have also been more than 13,000 Nominated visitor registrations.

More information including a list of authorised workers is available on the Service NSW website.
