Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Policy Spencer Boyer and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Murphy led a U.S.
delegation August 24-25 in the annual U.S.-Baltic Dialogue with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The Allied delegations were led by Estonian Undersecretary for Defence Policy Kadi Silde, Latvian Undersecretary of State-Policy Director Janis Karlsbergs, and Lithuanian Defense Policy Director Vaidotas Urbelis.
They discussed the security environment in the Baltic region, ongoing U.S.
policy reviews, and U.S.
security assistance, setting the course for defense and security cooperation over the next year.
The leaders also tested strategic coordination for a unified response to crisis situations through a tabletop exercise.
