Businesses across Baw Baw and the region have been recognised for their outstanding contribution and achievements throughout the year at the 2021 Federation University Gippsland Business Awards.
The virtual gala awards show was held on Friday 8 October after being postponed in response to COVID-19 public health advice. The awards show provided an opportunity for the finalists to engage with other regional businesses and celebrate each other's success.
Each finalist application was assessed and independently rated by five different judges across 10 judging criteria.
Four Baw Baw businesses were awarded for their excellence and innovation displayed in their field:
- Beauty and Personal Care - Amity Alice, Warragul
- Business and Professional Services - FGM Consultants, Warragul
- Health and Well Being - Olivia's Place, Warragul
- Manufacturing / Export - Elite Pack, Drouin
Several businesses across the Shire were also shortlisted as finalists:
- Erica Caravan Park, Erica
- Rosemont House Luxury B&B, Noojee
- RGM Financial Services, Drouin
- Baw Baw Physio and Fitness, Drouin
- Baw Baw Radiology, Drouin
- Blossom Ultrasound for Women, Drouin
- Gippsland Jersey, Warragul
- Hydraulink, Warragul
- Pathfinder Law, Warragul
- Jak's Music, Warragul
- Twelve South Bridal, Yarragon
- Trafalgar True Value, Trafalgar
- Trafalgar Holden Museum.
Council commends all the finalists and winners for the resilience and innovation they continue to show throughout an ever changing business environment.
Baw Baw Shire Council is a proud sponsor of the Gippsland Business Awards. This year, Council sponsored the Hospitality category, which was awarded to The Cape Kitchen at Newhaven, Phillip Island for their innovation displayed during COVID-19 lockdown period.
