Baylor Study: Evidence-Based Anxiety Help for Autistic Kids

Baylor College of Medicine is conducting a research study with the Harris Center to provide evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat autistic children and teens experiencing anxiety. CBT is an effective form of therapy that addresses anxiety through helping individuals change their thought patterns and learn to gradually confront feared situations. Dr. Eric Storch, professor and vice chair of psychology in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor, is leading the study.
