Bayside Council is looking to expand its Library Volunteer Program to enhance the services offered by the library and providing valuable volunteer and social opportunities for residents.
Bayside Library volunteers currently help with events, library services and tech support sessions including:
- English Classes
- Tech Savvy Seniors
- JPs
- Tai Chi classes
- Ad hoc craft and other workshops
- Hosting students from high school, TAFE and universities.
Libraries play a vital role in our community by offering access to a wide range of resources, promoting literacy, and serving as a hub for community activities.
Mayor Saravinovski said:
"Working closely with local volunteers can only help improve the wide range of community services our libraries already provide," Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.
