Bayside Seeks Seniors for New Intergenerational Program

The Warm Safe Home project brings together older and younger people to have fun, share stories and learn from one another.

What to expect from the Warm Safe Home project

  • Students and older adults work together to create and decorate small-scaled model houses that represent what a warm, safe home means to them.
  • Activities will take place weekly at Bayside primary schools between 15 July - 15 September 2024.
  • You can take part once or many times.
  • Teachers and Council staff will support participants.
  • Adults must have a Working with Children Check or be willing to get one. Council staff can assist with this.
  • An exhibition of all decorated houses will be displayed in a special event during Childrens Week in October.

The Warm Safe Home project is supported by Seniors Rights Victoria, Council on the Ageing (COTA) and Housing for the Aged Action Group (HAAG).
