Bayside Council is taking part in NSW Seniors Festival in March celebrating the role of seniors in our local community.
The Bayside Seniors Festival runs from 3 - 20 March and includes numerous free events and activities where seniors can meet new people or simply enjoy a day out with friends.
The Young at Heart Expo returns to the Rockdale Town Hall on Saturday 15 March with live performances, stalls showcasing local senior groups, and BBQ lunch.
The Seniors Singalong in the Botany Town Hall on Thursday 20 March is an opportunity to dress up and take a trip down memory lane with hits of the 50s and 60s. There will be a light lunch and some great prizes to be won.
Other opportunities for seniors to get active include free Aqua Aerobics classes at the Botany Aquatic Centre at 7.30am on Monday 3 and Thursday 6 March, and free entry to the Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre from Monday 10 March to Friday 14 March.
Bayside Seniors can also take part in free Walking Football at Ador Reserve on Wednesday 5 and 12 March or enjoy a free round of Golf at the Botany Golf Course from Monday 3 to Friday 7 March.
Senior gardeners can visit the Bayside Garden Centre for a 30% discount on the retail price of all plants in stock from Monday 3 March to Sunday 16 March.
Bayside Libraries are also hosting several knitting and craft groups, and a Chess Club to improve your skills.
