This week marks the 30th anniversary of the creation of the City of Bayside.
Bayside was created on 15 December 1994 through the amalgamation of the former Cities of Brighton and Sandringham and part of the former Cities of Mordialloc and Moorabbin.
The change was part of a statewide process of rationalising 210 councils into 79 new councils.
Bayside Mayor, Councillor Hanna El Mouallem said the anniversary was a time to celebrate the past and look forward to the future.
"The 30th anniversary of the City of Bayside is an opportunity to reflect on the municipality's history and anticipate the next 30 years," said Cr El Mouallem.
"We are so fortunate to live in an amazing part of the world and Council will continue to focus on maintaining Bayside's liveability for future generations."
