Bayside Walk: Stand Against Family Violence

Bayside community members are invited to take part in the Community Walk Against Family and Domestic Violence on Saturday, 23 November. We encourage everyone to wear orange to show their support and solidarity in the fight against domestic and family violence.

The walk, starting from the Ramsgate Life Saving Club and finishing at Depena Reserve, is approximately 1.5km and will take about 20 minutes to complete.

A community BBQ will be held in Depena Reserve following the walk.

St George Area Command, as well as community services and organisations will be there to share their stories and expertise.

The walk is being held to acknowledge the International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

Council works with key partners including NSW Police, Bay City Care, Bayside Women's Shelter, Advance Diversity Services, Sydney Multicultural Services, South Eastern Community Connect and other local groups and services.

1800RESPECT is available for free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support people impacted by domestic, family or sexual violence.
