Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking information regarding a scrub fire in Beckenham on Sunday 22 December 2024.
About 10:50pm, police were called to a scrub fire at Mills Park, in the vicinity of Bickley Road. Upon arrival at the scene, Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel were already present and fighting the fire.
At this time, the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Strike Force Vulcan officers are seeking information regarding the identity of a person who was present in the area around the time of the fire. The person is described as being male, fair skinned, and was wearing a light-coloured hoodie and dark pants. He was carrying a skateboard.
It is believed this person, pictured, may be able to assist with the investigation.
