Bega Valley Shire Council will be conducting community information sessions at various locations during November.
The sessions provide a chance for the community to come along and have an informal chat with elected Councillors and senior Council staff in their own community setting.
Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick said the intention of the information sessions is for the community to be able to informally ask questions of Councillors and the executive team and to provide feedback on the services Council provides.
"We're looking forward to getting out and spending some time with the community, where there will be information available on activities planned by Council in the coming year across the community," Cr Fitzpatrick said.
"Councillors and our Executive team spend a lot of time interacting with the community, but we don't often get out together at set locations to chat with the community.
"Hopefully coming to the community at these times will make it easier for people to come along and have a chat.
"Ideally we would have liked to get out to more locations before Christmas but we've chosen five locations that are relatively well spread and hopefully accessible for most people without too much travel.
"Our intention is to do similar sessions next year are in different locations".
Local hall committees are hosting the sessions and assisting Council to spread the word to ensure strong attendance.
