Council is undertaking work at Belmont Baths to make it easier for the community to enter and exit the baths, ahead of summer.

The works involve the removal of rocks along the entry to the Baths and replacing it with sand to make the facility more user friendly.

Council staff removed rock from the base of the seawall in early August and will return in early September to cover a 300m2 area at the entry of the baths with sand.

The removal of the rock has created two rock groynes on either side of the baths to help prevent the sand being washed out.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we work to deliver an even better swimming facility for the community.
