Moderate flooding is expected for the Macleay River tonight and the flood relief gates at Belmore River and Kinchela Creek will be opened to control water levels.
Council will monitor river levels at Kinchela Creek and Belmore River levees and open relief gates before the levee breached.
It is strongly recommended that landholders monitor the situation closely and act accordingly.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Minor to Moderate Warning for the Macleay River Flood Warning - Macleay River (www.bom.gov.au)
