A report to the April Council meeting will ask Council to endorse the proposed delivery models to upgrade the Bendigo Stadium, Bendigo Showgrounds, and Bendigo Bowls Club and Bendigo Croquet Club facilities, to be funded through the Victorian Government's Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
Following the cancellation of the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Victorian Government committed to deliver infrastructure upgrades to a number of venues across the state that were due to host competition sporting events.
Through discussions with the Victorian Government, it is recommended Development Victoria oversee the Bendigo Stadium and Bendigo Showgrounds projects, and the City of Greater Bendigo deliver the Bendigo Bowls Club and Bendigo Croquet Club upgrades.
The proposed scope of works for each project includes:

Stakeholders for each of the venues have been engaged in the delivery model process. Each project will be delivered through funding from the Victorian Government.
