Best-selling Mystery Author Talks Festive Secrets

Library-goers are in for a treat this October, when Benjamin Stevenson visits Eurobodalla.

The well-loved author and comedian will attend Moruya and Narooma libraries for in-conversation events discussing Everyone This Christmas Has A Secret, his new festive addition to the bestselling Ernest Cunningham mysteries.

This latest in the popular series sees a Christmas show take a dark turn after a magician's guillotine trick goes awry. And who should be in the front row? After solving the cases of his murderous family and an ill-fated train trip filled with crime writers, Ernest Cunningham finds himself slipping back into the shoes of detective to unravel not one, but two, tricksy crimes.

Eurobodalla Libraries coordinator Samantha Fenton says Benajmin's visit is the latest in a series of well-known authors appearing at the libraries this year.

"Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone and Everyone On This Train Is A Suspect have been enormously popular," Ms Fenton says.

"We're thrilled to welcome Benjamin to Eurobodalla Libraries and hear about his latest– in classic Stevenson style we have suspense and devious puzzles, fun and humour, all tied together with a neat bow."

When Benjamin isn't writing mysteries, he's an award-winning comedian who has sold out live shows from Melbourne's International Comedy Festival to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Attendees can expect to engage in lively discussion, ask questions, enjoy refreshments and purchase books signed by the author.

Benjamin will be in town on Thursday 24 October, at Moruya Library from 10.30am and at Narooma Library on from 5.30pm. Bookings essential through the Eurobodalla Libraries' events webpage or contact Moruya Library on 4474 1333 or Narooma Library on 4476 1164.
