The Allan Labor Government is making it easier for Wallan students to get to school from Term 3 - boosting coverage across the growing suburb and increasing services.
Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams today announced students in the Wallan Secondary School zone will see school bus services increase from eight to eleven return trips once Term 3 begins on Monday, 15 July.
Expanded coverage will be provided to Mandalay Estate in Beveridge, with students in this estate now having access to three return services, while four services will now extend from the secondary college through to Wallan Primary School in the afternoon.
Wallara Waters will also receive three services to cover their growing student numbers, with Springridge and Aurina Drive also getting an additional service.
Since launching in June 2021, Victoria's Bus Plan has improved bus services in more than half of the state's 79 local government areas, adding more than 4,600 extra services each week across metro and regional Victoria.
This includes improvements to 25 school bus networks as part of a $25 million investment in the Victorian Budget 2022/23 to introduce, modify and extend school bus services across the state with an initial focus on growth areas.
