Police have recovered the body of a man who was reported missing while crabbing in the Bicton area last night, Saturday 22 January 2022.
About 11:35pm the 70-year-old man's family reported him missing to Police. The man had attended the Point Walter Reserve area with family and friends and the group went in separate ways in the water.
The man was last seen by the group about 9:30pm and was reported missing after the group realised they could no longer see him anywhere.
Several search assets were deployed including Water Police and Police Air Wing.
About 6:15am today the body of a deceased man, believed to be the missing 70-year-old man, was located in the water opposite Blackwall Reach Parade, which is south of the Blackwall Reach Cliffs.
