Greta and Springhurst brigades were among the big winners on the weekend at the CFA-VFBV State Rural Championships in Bendigo.
Over 60 brigades took part on the day, traveling from all corners of Victoria to compete.
The event was held at the Tom Flood Sports Centre, with Greta Fire Brigade taking out Division 1 Seniors honours and Springhurst Fire Brigade taking out the Junior Championship.
It is the last standalone Rural Championships, prior to the Urban and Rural Championships running concurrently in Mooroopna in 2020.
Acting Chief Officer Gavin Freeman's 'Chief's Chargers' team were unsuccessful on the day, going down to a very impressive (and slightly younger) team of bright young stars from Sedgewick
Below are the major winners from the State Rural Championships, with the full list of winners from each event to be posted soon.
