During September and as part of Biodiversity Month 2022, we are partnering with several of our neighbouring councils (Greater Dandenong, Casey, Monash, Kingston, Knox, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Cardinia, and Yarra Ranges) to host Biodiversity Blitz 2022.
Biodiversity Blitz is a great way to learn about native plants and animals, get involved in local conservation and tap into an online community of biodiversity enthusiasts. All you need to do is head out to your local bushland reserve to discover and take photos of native plants and animals and upload them to the iNaturalist app. You can also compete against others and win prizes for recording the most species!
To participate:
- Download the free and easy to use iNaturalist App
- Join the Knox project online at Knox BioBlitz 2022
- Take photographs of your observations
- Upload your photographs to the iNaturalist app
To find out more:
- Watch this video made by our friends at Yarra Ranges Shire Council

This event is part of Biodiversity Month 2022.
