Blair to Visit Troops, Meet Leaders in Latvia, Poland

The Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, will visit Canadian Armed Forces members deployed to Latvia and Poland, and thank them for their service ahead of the holidays.

While in Latvia from December 15-17, Minister Blair will also meet with Andris Sprūds, Defence Minister for the Republic of Latvia, and visit Ādaži Military Base (Camp Ādaži) to meet with troops deployed as part of the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia under Operation REASSURANCE.

In Poland from December 17-18, Minister Blair will hold a bilateral meeting with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Poland, to strengthen the Canada-Poland defence relationship.
