Bland Shire Council Welcomes New Youth Officer, Oliver Petrie

Bland Shire Council is excited to announce the appointment of Oliver Petrie as the new Youth Officer for the community. Oliver will be stepping into the role previously held by the capable Macey Cowen, who has headed off to university to pursue her studies.

Oliver, a proud member of a local Tallimba family, has recently completed his schooling at West Wyalong High School. He is eager to bring his passion for supporting youth in the Bland Shire to the role, and we are confident he will make a positive impact on the young people in our community.

"We are thrilled to welcome Oliver to the team," said Community Development Officer Carissa Burge. "His local knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to working with young people make him the perfect fit for the role. We look forward to seeing the great things Oliver will achieve as he supports our youth programs and services."

Macey Cowen, who has been an incredible asset to the Council and the community, will be greatly missed. Her hard work and dedication to youth services have helped strengthen the opportunities available to young people in the Bland Shire. We wish Macey all the best in her university journey and thank her for her outstanding contributions.

Oliver's appointment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Bland Shire's youth programs. He is looking forward to connecting with local youth, building new relationships, and continuing the positive work that Macey has done over the past 12 months.
